Hello...
...and welcome to the completely revamped ReRide.net!
Previously known as The ReRide Network (an over-ambitious attempt at some sort of nostalgia based web community which didn't take off, plus an in depth look at The 5th Dimension), the site has now been reborn as (a probably over-ambitious attempt at) what should become the web's ultimate UK theme park multimedia archive. But don't worry, Zappomatic worshippers: the 5th Dimension microsite is still here and now has the musical soundtrack to stream or download!
Why am I doing this?
Good question! Those of you who follow the discussion on Rideas will know of an attempt to get Tussauds to release the music from their attractions on CD or cassette, as they once did. So far this attempt has been unsuccesful. Here on ReRide.net I shall try to meet this demand by providing for download music, sound, video and pictures from as many attractions in the UK as possible. Some of this has previously been availible in the public domain, some recorded on-ride, and some obtained through industry connections. The nostalgia element of The ReRide Network will remain, with close attention paid to retired attractions.
I do not seek to rob anyone of profit by providing these files... infact the only person robbed is myself, of time and money. Nor do I seek to profit from the work of others.So please, don't steal or leech any of this stuff for your own site, or try to make money from it. Just enjoy yourself! (Oh and by the way, if you pay for your internet calls I take no responsibility for the huuuuge phone bill you could receive...)
